recovering. re-establishing and settling into new routines, new habits. my lifestyle, my life has changed in a minor to major way in the past couple months superficially, subtly around the edges, shaken to the core. and it's taken some rewiring to get used to. finally returning on my feet and back into my personal projects again, establishing new routines, ways of getting things done with all the new things said and done taking affect. hoping to return to aucune after the ukrainian thanksgiving.

as always, i have yet again fallen behind on projects due to illness and personal matters. both are looking up (the personal matters, to be frank, always were good, distractingly good) and i am looking forward to returning and finishing the story. however i cannot give a timeline for this, only my good intentions. for this i apologize.

ok. here is one of the last chapters of this story. again i apologize for the long wait in between chapters. please trust that i will be finishing this fic (with only about 3-4 chapters left, it would be silly not to). i post the chapters as soon as i think that they're ready. Afairly belated birthday present to a.m.n. (get some sleep!)

This was a hard chapter for me to write for many reasons, one is that my life is becoming increasingly busy as my side and personal projects are seeming to increase as the weather gets warmer. There are only a few more chapters left. They will get written--and written as well as I can write them, so that means it will take time. There will probably still be about a month in between each one. I know that as a reader this is not ideal and we all have impatience streaks a mile long (trust me, I know. You've never seen me in line or how I glare at my crackleberry waiting for an email to come through). But please trust that I want to see this story all the way through as much as you--if not perhaps more. It will happen, as much as I can promise anything.

As there is never a mention of Hermione's hometown (or much of her pre-Hogwarts life for that matter), I have had the daunting task to pick one for her. I ended up chosing a town in Oxfordshire, because she had to grow up somewhere and that is the same county Emma Watson is from. I suppose it is a continuity of accents that I was using as my primary deciding factor here. Seemed a better method than randomly picking a town from a map of England.

this might be a long ways off towards never happening, but if i am ever to write another story is it going to be both a. short and sassy and b. involving drag.

i used to live in the northampton area of massachusetts (near umass, hampshire, mt. holyoke, amherst and smith). a friend there introduced me to questionable content, a webcomic that takes place in northampton (one of the main characters works at the smiff library) for a bunch of indie 20-somethings.

This chapter contains more sexuality than I have written thusfar. I feel that, for now, the story still falls under a PG-13 rating. If, however, someone is of a different opinion, I will gladly change the rating of this chapter and other chapters including sexuality. R is less to type than PG-13 after all.

On another note, hands down down this has been one of my absolute favorite chapters to write. & now I just ask your patience as I set about writing the next chapter. Though the way my life is, it seems to be running about a month--give or take a week--in between chapter updates. I apologize but recently that's how it's been.
